To register as an individual entrepreneur (IP), you need to notify the tax authority of the start of business activities by submitting a notice of commencement as an individual entrepreneur.

You can submit the notification in the following ways:

• Electronically – through the e-licensing portal of the Republic of Kazakhstan e-license
• In person on paper – including through Service Centers or the State Corporation "Government for Citizens"
• Through second-tier bank mobile applications
• Through the "E-Salyq business" mobile application
• The notification submission service is provided free of charge. The tax authority registers you as an individual entrepreneur within 1 business day.

Please note that in addition to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and compatriots, citizens of the Russian Federation, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Tajikistan, and Republic of Armenia who permanently reside in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan also have the right to engage in individual entrepreneurship.
